as i sit here on this election day, i am overwhelmed with graciousness for being born an american citizen.....my mind wonders all day to my best friend, kate, who goes through her days alone because her husband and my hero, josh, is fighting for us in iraq with the special forces. these photos calm my mind and heart and remind me to give thanks. they will spend their two year anniversary apart, but only physically. i love you kate and josh.

my inspiration

holly, my sister, is not only beautiful to photograph but also shares our family's love of being behind the lens. the strap on her camera was my father's strap on his camera that he used in the 70's during college...

this is my mom, grace! she is one with her camera and is always teaching me more about our passion....
